GREENIFY
Sistemi Formativi is a partner in the "GREENIFY: Innovative curricula for enhancing young females to boost the green transition" project, dedicated to sustainability and social inclusion, with the goal of supporting girls and young women from rural areas or families with non-graduated parents in preparing for careers in the "green" sector of the future labor market.
The initiative, promoted by Bulgarian Consultancy Organisation, is funded under the European Erasmus+ program within the KA220-VET - Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training area.
The project aims not only to promote women's access to sustainability-related professions but also to respond to the growing needs of the green labor market. Additionally, the project will equip STEM teachers and Vocational Education and Training (VET) trainers with innovative educational materials to support the provision of high-quality learning opportunities aligned with the skills required by the future sustainable labor market.
The project aims to reduce the gender gap in STEM education and inspire girls and young women to pursue careers in the "green" sector. By engaging partners experienced in vocational education and training (VET), the initiative seeks to motivate young women to explore jobs related to environmental sustainability.
To achieve the main goal, the following specific objectives have been set:
- Explore the missing link between "green" jobs, STEM education, and Sustainability Management curricula, in the context of gender equality.
- Provide innovative STEM educational tools to inspire young girls towards "green" jobs.
- Provide sustainability management skills to young women for "green" careers.
- Strengthen STEM teachers' and VET trainers' skills to apply the new tools.
Expected outcomes include mapping the needs of target groups, creating educational materials such as STEM kits and sustainability modules, and organizing workshops and practical internships.
The project aims to promote equal opportunities for girls, particularly those from rural areas or families with non-graduated parents, and contributes to the development of green skills for the future labor market.
Additionally, it aligns with the priorities of inclusion, diversity, and environmental sustainability.
