SFC in collaboration with Services to Italian Industry and ANFIA, is partner for DRIVES – Development and Research on Innovative Vocational Education Skills, a project funded by EU Commission to identify emerging skills in the Automotive industry.
The project is funded by Erasmus + within the area Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills.
DRIVES has started in January 2018 and will be active until January 2022. It involves 24 partners from 11 european countries, related to industry, training institutes, public authorities and relevant stakeholders for the development of the automotive industry.
The main objective is to reduce the gap between the skills required by the automotive job market and the current training offer. To do that, DRIVES aims to achieve concrete results such as:
- Profile creation: identifying job roles and creating a strategic skills roadmap for the automotive industry
- Academic recognition: creation of Open Automotive Skills and Quality Framework, to standardise qualifications’ transferability and approval system
- Implementation: creation of European certificates
- Apprenticeship: creation of marketplace
- Evaluation: respecting European standards when describing roles in the automotive.
