The second module of the training course on the EU

On December 10-11, 2019, in Brussels, the second module of the training program on the European Union, designed by Sistemi Formativi Confindustria and the Delegation of Confindustria at the EU on the topics of European governance, will take place. In this second session, the focus will be on how to engage in advocacy, communication, and lobbying within the EU.

Each year in Brussels, thousands of lobbyists continuously work to support the legislative process and advance the interests they represent. Lobbying is a highly professionalized, technical, and time-intensive field that requires a deep understanding of the structure of the European Union and its operational mechanisms.

Based on these considerations, this second training module will be dedicated to the key stages of a lobbying strategy, with concrete testimonies and successful practical examples from some of the major European associations and business interest groups based in Brussels.

A crucial part of the course will also be devoted to communication strategies because the ability to effectively communicate the interests one represents is crucial in determining the success or failure of a lobbying strategy.
