Greener partners invite organisations and companies interested in Green Procurement to an online workshop on 7th July to disseminate green content and its competitive value within companies and especially SMEs.
The event is organised in cooperation with GREENER: Boosting Industry Engagement in Green Procurement, a European Erasmus+ project focused on training the profile of the GPP expert in order to support companies in participating in green tenders to encourage the transition to the circular economy.
The workshop will be held from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. and the central theme will be GPP Green Public Procurement: what it is and what skills companies should develop to be able to compete in the Green Public Procurement system.
How important is GPP? In 2016 in Europe, public procurement accounted for 14% of GDP, highlighting how public demand can steer the market towards production with a lower environmental impact.
What are the benefits of accessing GPP? For SMEs, it is an opportunity to develop the right skills to win green tenders, but also to be an active player in the green and digital transition of production and social systems that the European Commission has outlined in the 2030 Agenda.
Among the speakers present will be experts from the Scuola Superiore del Sant'Anna in Pisa who, together with SFC, are partners in the European project. This will be an excellent opportunity to network and exchange ideas on future projects and initiatives with experts in the field.
The event is free of charge and will enable participants to follow an online training course that, upon completion, will result in the issuing of a certificate of skills acquired on the topic of GPP. The validity of the certification is also attested by the approval of the European Vocational Skills Week, which recognises and promotes the project as part of European initiatives for the development of technical and vocational skills.
