SFC opens a public call to select trainers to take part in SEAL project - Seniors’ Learning Value, an ERASMUS+ KA2 project that aims to create the figure of the Senior Learning Facilitator (SLF). This new professional role will contribute in improving the collaboration between Education, Vocational Education and Training systems, enterprises and productive and economic systems at large.
Focusing on enterprises, the SLF will favour the creation of a cooperation system between educational facilities and companies by disseminating good practices in the field. The creation of links will be beneficial not only for establishing relationships and creating new networks, but also to connect the labour market to those institutions helping active job seekers to identify opportunities and supporting enterprise when scouting.
The SLF will be able to act as a ‘knowledge hub’ among different stakeholders, as well as being learning innovator. Moreover, the SLF will play a role as a knowledge steward and community builder, together with being a crucial player in the school-business relationship. Finally, the SLF will also act as a requalified worker operating in the HR area.
More specifically, the SLF will be able to develop a set of 20 skills in activities and services in education together with management and partnership building. These skills are:
- Curriculum co-design and inception of innovative pedagogies;
- Training for students and faculty members;
- Connect faculty members and study programmes across department;
- Organize events (e.g. round tables, workshops, study visits)
- Provide employability analyses;
- Define stakeholders’ segments in regional ecosystems;
- Contribution to study programmes development and accreditation;
- Developing strategies to support organizational development
- Participation in brokerage events and B2B matchmaking meetings;
- Connect with potential partners and facilitate interactions with faculty members and students
- Consortia development for project development purposes
- Representing universities in clusters and task forces
Trainers will be selected from personnel of training institutions, companies and ITS to start the first phase of the training, which will take place online in September 2022. If you are interested you can enrol here to receive more info.
