
On November 8 and 9 at ECOMONDO for the upcoming B2B of the TOURISME project devoted to SMEs in the tourism sector.
TOURISME project's mission is to develop services to facilitate the tourism SMEs'Agenda_Ecomondo_Tourisme_08_11_2022.pdf business model transformation towards tourism sustainability standards. The project, in which SFC is a partner together with the Region of Sardinia, L'Institut Paris Region, ANEL, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa, ITC Canarias, ACR+ and Consulta Europa is the lead partner, enters its final year of activity and the results are raising up.
B&Bs, travel agencies, hotels, and family-owned hotels in Mediterranean countries are the targets of the TOURISME vouchers, aimed to support SMEs in accessing a range of training services, B2B meetings, and technical support to achieve certification standards for boosting their sustainable tourism offer.
The meeting on November 8 at the ECOMONDO fair will present some of the inspirational cases for sustainable tourism proposals. There will be hosted the instances of:
- Discovery Trains, a travel agency specializing in rail solutions to make even the most extended trips more sustainable
- Canarian Hospitality, an agency promoting sustainable tourism in the Canary Islands
- Genially, a web application that helps implement sustainable tourism practices
The second focus of the meeting is the knowledge of the European supporting instruments for Tourism SMEs in effect in 2021-2017. They will be presented by:
- Misa Labarile, policy officer at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industries, Entrepreneurship, and SMEs
- Stefano Lenzi, contact person of Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) - Tourism Group
The invitation to participate in the TOURISME b2b in the ECOMONDO framework is extended to all businesses engaged in making tourism hospitality sustainable.
