Today marks the start of the training programme aimed at SMEs in Argentina on the topic of Sustainability, carried out as part of the "Industrias Argentinas Sustentables" project by UIA Unione Industriale Argentina together with SFC Sistemi Formativi Confindustria as the only European partner in this initiative.
This is the first of 5 online meetings that will be held every Wednesday from 15.00 to 17.00 CET until 17 May. Each meeting is dedicated to a specific theme of the path towards sustainability that SMEs can and must undertake by generating the expected change in international production models.
The official presentation of the project saw the participation of UIA President Daniel Funes de Rioja, reminding us of the commitment to productive and economic sustainability in order to achieve a greater qualification of the products and processes of Argentinean companies with respect to European and international markets.
The speech by the Ambassador of the European Union to Argentina Amador Sánchez Rico relaunched the objectives of the dual transition, green and digital, as development factors that go beyond national and European borders, and link the practices of production systems at the international level committed to the innovation of business models, supply chains, and trade routes through sustainable growth strategies.
Laura Segura and Maria Laura Lèfevre from the Industrial Union of Argentina described the project 'Industrias Argentinas Sustentables', financed by the European programme AL-INVEST Verde. It will be a path that, together with SFC Sistemi Formativi Confindustira and COPAL Coordination of Food Enterprises in Argentina, will continue for the next two years, generating a programme of B2B meetings, in-depth thematic analysis on regulations for SMEs in Europe for sustainable development.
The intervention of Paola Previdi CEO of SFC Sistemi Formativi Confindustria during the event confirmed our commitment to sharing with the international community of business associations the know-how gained from the initiatives carried out with Confindustria at the national and international level. How to support SMEs, how to grow, and how to navigate in the European regulatory framework of the Circular Economy will be one of the first missions to which the SFC is called to contribute.
Finally, the first of the cycle of five planned technical meetings were led by Gabriela Guzzo of Accenture, providing an initial overview of the impacts that the Circular Economy generates on the production systems of small and very small enterprises.
The course is scheduled for next Wednesday, 26 April, and is aimed at SMEs from Argentina, but also from Italy, who wish to access the tools for developing a sustainability strategy and includes experiences and good practices applied to real cases, national and international environmental regulations that influence a company's production system development. The speakers are international-level referees.
