The LEAP - TECHNICAL TRAINING

Innovation for Competitiveness and Sustainability.

The LEAP - TECHNICAL TRAINING (acronym for Leonardo Empowering Advanced Partnership) training program, funded by Fondimpresa under the Notice 1/2019, is a multi-regional training plan dedicated to companies operating in three major areas of the aeronautical industry.

SFC - Sistemi Formativi Confindustria is a partner of Leonardo (the lead agency of the ATS), which, through this initiative, aims to address the technological development needs and training requirements necessary for the competitive development of the cluster of companies in the aeronautical/mechanical sector. This development involves the production of aeronautical structures using innovative technologies and materials.

The program involves the participation of 19 companies affiliated with Fondimpresa and around 460 workers. These participants will undergo almost 1,500 hours of training, with 50% of the training delivered through innovative methodologies tied to work experiences, particularly through on-the-job training. The training program will focus on the following aspects:

  1. Innovation, both in terms of product and process.
  2. Enhancing companies' ability to access "early-stage" technologies that align with Leonardo's needs through a path of "open innovation" and the establishment of a network with innovation providers.
  3. Improving performance metrics (on time, on quality), cost competitiveness, sustainability, and innovation capabilities.
  4. Capitalizing on and preserving knowledge and skills within the organizational fabric of the workplace and the company's operations.
  5. Enhancing the adaptability of companies and workers to technological and organizational changes and innovations.
