Sistemi Formativi Confindustria is a partner in the ERASMUS+ project "Ingenious – Strengthening Digital Pedagogy Skills and Competencies of Educators," led by the University of Ioannina (GR). The project aims to develop digital competencies among VET (Vocational Education and Training) educators through the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology).

This project is funded under the European Erasmus+ program within the KA2 – Cooperation for Innovation and the exchange of good practices area. It addresses digital illiteracy and the need to bridge gaps in digital competencies among VET educators using ICT.

The ICT technologies used in the project are Vocational Open online Courses (VOOCs), which provide technical learning content without the need for physical presence. These digital training tools can be integrated with assessment and communication tools. The project's results will promote the use of innovative and sustainable training models, as well as tools for teaching, training, and learning, with direct assessment conducted on predefined platforms.

The main development guidelines of the plan align with the following objectives:

  1. Create a framework for evaluating the digital competencies of VET educators, evolving the European DIGCOMPEDU framework for digital competencies.
  2. Design and implement new training models through VOOC platforms, considering the educators' needs and their current digital skill levels.

Additionally, the project will conduct a pilot study to validate the entire process by developing educational material for the green economy sector. This material can be implemented in a wide range of training centers in the participating countries to support professional apprenticeship programs.

The project is developed at a transnational level because it:

  • Gathers knowledge, information, and international experience in VET training.
  • Provides enhanced access to the best international training activities that can be compared to facilitate dynamic knowledge exchange.
  • The partnership network will facilitate the dissemination and use of project results, offering a training tool for immediate use capable of bridging the digital competency gap among European VET educators.
