The TAC Project was initiated in response to the profound processes of transformation and restructuring in the fashion industry. Its objective is to create an observatory to analyze evolving scenarios, capitalize on existing professional expertise, and experiment with new training tools focused on the mobility and reintegration of industry workers into the labor market.
Specifically, the project aims to:
-
Provide industrial policy proposals and human capital development strategies to contribute to improving employment and the competitive capacity of the textile, clothing, and footwear sectors.
-
Create conditions to anticipate changes in the textile, clothing, and footwear industries, facilitate adaptation for businesses, entrepreneurs, and workers to expected transformations, leveraging existing skills and capabilities.
-
Strengthen cooperative industrial relations between all stakeholders.
The project is structured around four lines of activity:
-
Analysis of scenarios and prospects in the fashion sectors, focusing on structural transformations and emerging professional roles.
-
Analysis of the Industrial Relations System in the sector.
-
Analysis of key skills, new professional roles, and the existing educational offerings.
-
Experimentation with innovative tools to enhance existing professional expertise. This includes dedicated training initiatives for integrating and updating the skills of young entrants into the sector and workers at risk of labor market exit.
The initiative has facilitated an important monitoring process for one of the most significant productive sectors in the Made in Italy domain. It may serve as a reference model for guiding the growth and evolution of the industry itself, through the utilization of analytical tools and methods of utmost significance for decision-makers in the identification of effective policies to support the sector.
