The project represents the first systematic training initiative dedicated to the recreational boating sector and arises from the desire to address the training needs of companies with a supply chain perspective:
-
To promote the cultural growth and professional updating of sector employees to support changes in internal organizational and production processes (the shipbuilding sector is characterized by the high complexity of operations and requires increasingly different specializations on the part of operators).
-
To involve smaller companies that traditionally struggle to access funded training services.
-
To support the growth and competitiveness of companies, favoring aggregation and integration both through intercompany courses and through the comparison and in-depth analysis of results.
Launched in April 2010 and lasting one year, the plan involved more than 1,000 workers and over 40 companies affiliated with Fondimpresa, who benefited from over 3,000 hours of training in total.
Developed in collaboration with 12 partners, including associations and service companies within the Confindustria system, the plan covered eight regions: Piedmont, Liguria, Tuscany, Umbria, Apulia, Sicily, Sardinia, and Lazio.
The careful analysis of the training needs of sector companies made it possible to develop a training offer that is:
Specific: because the content has been tailored to the particular needs of the sector.
Comprehensive: because all the main technical and managerial contents required by the sector's evolution were addressed.
Segmented and accessible: because the plan's activities involved all sector operators (workers, employees, technical and commercial managers) and all company sizes (large, medium, small).
