ITS Pop Days: from May 5 to 7 a digital fair to present the Academies of Made in Italy

For years, the lack of technical profiles in the job market has been a critical element in the dialogue between school and business. It is also a risk for the development of the industrial sector in our country.
However, there are post-diploma training channels that prepare hundreds of young super-technicians for the labour world every year. These are the Istituti Tecnici Superiori (ITS), the only tertiary professional training channel that is an alternative to university courses in Italy today.
For more than a decade, they have been part of the dialogue between companies and students. They are two-year post-diploma training courses provided by foundations whose governing bodies include the companies themselves, which indicate the most useful teaching modules for the most sought-after profiles.
These training courses are recognized by the Ministry of Education and University and are an alternative to the classic university courses. Very popular in other European countries, they have allowed, for example, Germany and France to provide companies with the tens of thousands of trained technicians they needed.
In Italy, unfortunately, they are still little known by young people and their families. For this reason, Confindustria, in collaboration with Umana and Indire, is organizing the ITS POP DAYS from May 5 to 7, a real fair in which 90 ITS from all over Italy will meet "virtually", illustrating their training offer, the excellence and the collaborations that characterise them, telling their story and employment opportunities for young people attending their courses.
ITS POP DAYS is designed to raise awareness of this reality allowing everyone to navigate through the virtual stands of the ITS, with the opportunity to talk live via chat and participate in a program of meetings and webinars on issues of training, employment and the future of the new generations.
