SFC for the Green and Digital transition: European Vocational Skills Week 2020

From 9 to 13 November is online the European Week of Vocational Skills, an event organized by the European Commission to promote Vocational Education and Training in Europe.

SFC fully agrees with the main theme of the 2020 edition, namely "VET for Green and Digital Transitions", in line with the European Commission's priorities of a "European Green Deal" and a "Europe fit for the digital age".

For some time, in fact, SFC has been engaged in the challenge of anticipating the skills that will contribute to the full realization of the Green Economy and the achievement of the sustainability goals of the European Green Deal.

Currently SFC is involved in some ERASMUS + projects within the actions of Strategic Partnership for Innovation, with the aim of supporting the interest of companies in making the Circular Economy a factor of competitiveness. SFC is also active in the COSME program in favor of SMEs in the tourism sector engaged in the dual challenge of resilience to the crisis induced by anti-Covid measures and green innovation.

The INSIGHT project concerns the theme of Industrial Symbiosis, for the benefit of companies interested in improving the use of resources, optimizing costs on environmental waste and reducing the impact they generate on the environment in which they operate. Among the partner nations are Spain, with CETEM - Asociacion Empresarial de Investigacion Centro Tecnologico del Mueble y de la Madera de la Region de Murcia and Slovenia represented by the Styrian Industrial Park.

Recently approved, GREENER is the project inherent to the theme of Green Public and Private Procurement led by CLEANTECH, the Bulgarian Business Network for Clean Technologies, Innovation and Sustainable Development that also supports the KRIB - Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria in the development of corporate policies for the realization of green objectives. The project confirms and consolidates the partnership with CETEM enhanced by the collaboration with the Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento S. Anna. The first results will be available in May 2021.

Finally, TOURISME is the project aimed at supporting the adaptation and development of environmental sustainability criteria among SMEs in the tourism sector. The lead partner Consulta Europa projects and innovation leads the partnership between France, Spain, Italy, Belgium and Cyprus, supporting the change of the business model of SMEs in the Mediterranean tourism sector. For Italy, together with SFC participate the Scuola Superiore di Studi Universitari e di Perfezionamento S. Anna and the Regione Autonoma della Sardegna. Also for Tourisme, the first results will be available by June 2021.
