Last October 9, on the occasion of the European Week of Regions and Cities, were presented the results of the survey on the European demand for skills for the automotive sector, conducted as part of the DRIVES Project, of which Sistemi Formativi Confindustria is one of the Italian partners.
The project, launched in January 2018 and funded by the European program Erasmus + within the Blueprint for Sectoral Cooperation on Skills line, aims to bridge the gap between the skills required by the market and the existing training offer. It is developed over a period of four years and involves the participation of 24 partners from 11 European countries and belonging to the world of industry, training, public administration and other stakeholders relevant to the development of skills in the automotive sector.
Next September 23rd 2020, a conference on the future of the workforce in Europe will be organized in Brussels, at Autoworld Parc du Cinquantenaire 1000. The conference will outline the strategies for employment in the automotive sector and the new guidelines for training and education in order to respond adequately to changes throughout the value chain of the sector.
