The second transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ DIGITRONICS project was hosted by Interprofessionnelle Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (IPRA), lead partner of the project.
During the two working days in Lyon, the confrontation on the main items on the agenda resulted in a stimulating dialogue and in the fine-tuning of the next steps:
- Development of a competence framework for mechatronics trainers;
- Development and sharing of a handbook for trainers
- Creation of an E-learning course for trainers.
IPRA presented the international desk research report. Thanks to the partners' consolidated experience in training trainers, priority was given both to the development of trainers’ guidelines and to the selection of e-skills for training in mechatronics.
SFC and CIS, coming from the NEW METRO Sector Skill Alliance experience in the Mechatronics sector, gave an important contribution to the discussion. Many of the skills that trainers will have to teach will be taken from the NEW METRO model, but the transversal skills of Trainers will be enhanced, and a e-learning course will be provided.
On the second day of the meeting the topic was the project’s next steps. The discussion focused on the structure of the trainer's guide, which should be oriented on how to improve one's teaching skills in mechatronics by using digital solutions. At the center of the debate were also the usability of the project website and the online learning platform, as well as a scheme collecting the contributions that partners are going to develop. The partners also planned the project dissemination and exploitation activities by drafting a plan to ensure and evaluate the quality of the project results.
In the next months, partners will be involved in organizing discussion groups with professionals of the sector in order to ensure the relevance of the competency framework chosen by the partners. During these discussion groups, local and national mechatronics professionals (trainers, VET staff, employees, managers, heads of mechatronics SMEs) will be encourage to participate.
