Green Digital Skills: an Erasmus alliance for digital and sustainable economic transition

The final meeting of the INGENIOUS project, a strategic partnership within the Erasmus programme, led by the University of Ioannina, took place last Thursday 8th and Friday 9th of February.

The meeting was held in Bulgaria, at the offices of the Cleantech Bulgaria and KRIB project partners, and was physically attended by all project partners. This was an important event, considering that the project started immediately after COVID-19 and that many of the partner meetings were exclusively online. The project results confirmed the responsiveness of the INGENIOUS training pathway to the needs of VET trainers in the VET systems of Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, Slovenia, and Latvia.

The innovation of the project is represented by the modularity of the INGENIOUS training programmes articulated between basic digital competencies, to meet the conditions of online teaching, and applied digital competencies in the sectors of Agriculture, Logistics, Manufacturing, and the more transversal topic of energy efficiency. Decision support systems in agriculture 4.0 (DDS - digital decision support) is the topic on which SFC Sistemi Formativi Confindustria focused its contribution to the partnership. The collaboration with the Istituto Tecnico Agrario Emilio Sereni in Rome, and with the lecturer Giovanni Beltrame, led to the release and use of the DDS pathway in Agricoltura 4.0, which was presented to the teachers of ITA Emilio Sereni during the meeting on 26 January.

In Sofia, the INGENIOUS partners shared the results of their contribution to the project, which ended with great success. Considering also the strong collaborative ties that were created with all partners during the project's duration, other potential new projects were discussed with preliminary exploratory talks on how to grow the training of trainers on combined digital and green transition skills.

All INGENIOUS courses are available in "open" form on the https://moodle.eingenious.eu platform.
