Next November 24th and 25th, the third meeting of the Erasmus working group tasked with defining the digital skills of mechatronics teachers will take place in Rome, at the headquarters of Sistemi Formativi Confindustria.
The working group led by MEDEF AURA-IPRA within the Erasmus Plus KA2 DIGITRONICS project will meet on November 24th and 25th in Rome at the headquarters of Sistemi Formativi Confindustria to discuss the priorities for developing innovative and digital training methodologies and approaches for trainers in the mechatronics sector.
Among the project partners are expert training institutions in mechatronics, such as the Institut Narcís Xifra i Masmitjàtra in Girona (Spain), the CIS Scuola di Formazione di Impresa (Italy), and the Vocational Education and Training Trainers Center in Malopolska (Poland).
Sistemi Formativi Confindustria is the partner responsible for developing guidelines for the digital innovation of mechatronics education. Based on extensive research into emerging pedagogical approaches conducted by Professor Leonardo Quattrocchi and Professor Francesca Mastrogiacomi, and thanks to contributions gathered through the Focus Groups held in each of the four countries involved in the project, a framework of emerging competencies will be outlined. This framework will empower mechatronics trainers to design, identify, and apply the most suitable digital tools for teaching disciplines related to mechatronics.
The Focus Group held in Italy involved excellent institutions in mechatronics education at the 5 EQF level, including ITS Meccatronico del Lazio and the University of Cassino - Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
The project's work will continue until the definition of an online training course dedicated to teachers interested in expanding their knowledge for designing teaching activities and curious about experimenting with techniques to enhance student learning experiences.
The project team at Sistemi Formativi Confindustria is interested in expanding the project's Learning Community, and therefore invites expert teachers in digital technologies for mechatronics learning, engineers, and mechatronics trainers, as well as current or former mechatronics students, to participate in open discussions about digital techniques and methodologies for teaching.
