IDEAS COMPARED AT THE WORLD CAFÉ: OPEN MOOd EXTENDED
In recent years, the competitive landscape has undergone a significant transformation due to the proliferation of digitization and data generation processes in both primary and support activities.
The socio-economic situation we are facing appears to have accelerated the ongoing change, highlighting the limitations and constraints of many widely adopted organizational models and prompting a profound reflection on managerial culture.
The Open MOOd project, carried out for Fondirigenti by CIS Reggio Emilia in collaboration with Forma del Tempo and Sistemi Formativi Confindustria, has analyzed the impact that the "Open" management style can have on companies to enhance the performance and success of the "Open Organization."
The study involved over 300 companies and 400 managers to identify the profile of the Open Manager, a new figure capable of creating formal and informal networks focused on research, innovation, the creation of new market perspectives, and fully leveraging the complementarities between production processes, technological know-how, and human resources.
To open the doors to innovation, crucial factors are the attitudes and behaviors that managers and, in particular, entrepreneurs adopt at work, with regard to openness, creating useful connections, and allowing employees to take responsibility for proposing and developing new ideas.
How does the Open Manager promote horizontal leadership? How does it support entrepreneurship? How does it facilitate continuous change and innovation?
We will seek answers to these questions in the World Café that will take place on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, starting at 10:30 AM at the HTTC - Human & Technology Training Center, Via Sicilia, 19 - Reggio Emilia.
What is a World Café? It is an informal communication technique in which community members engage in discussions at different tables, taking turns at the same tables to open up discussions and develop new thoughts.
The meeting will be an opportunity to deepen knowledge of Open Management and identify effective innovative approaches to operate in increasingly complex, interconnected, and multifaceted business environments.
