The widespread connectivity and the increasing availability of objects and sensors capable of accessing the internet and exchanging data contribute to expanding the "surface" of our businesses potentially susceptible to cyberattacks.
To effectively counteract this process and promote a secure digital transition, Confindustria, Generali, and the National Cybersecurity Agency entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on October 19th. This agreement aims to promote a culture of digital protection among businesses and raise the level of awareness and understanding of cybersecurity issues, especially among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
As part of this agreement, a "Cyber Index PMI" report will be developed with the contribution of the Cybersecurity & Data Protection Observatory of the School of Management at Politecnico di Milano.
The report will highlight the level of awareness of cyber risks within business organizations and the approaches taken by companies to manage these risks.
The "Cyber Index PMI" will be constructed based on responses provided by businesses in the Associative System after completing a questionnaire. This report will provide an overview of the "cybersecurity status" of Italian companies, including their level of risk awareness and the current measures in place to combat cyber threats.
You are also encouraged to participate in the survey and complete the qyestionnaire by February 28, 2023.
