On November 23rd and 24th, at the Szczecin Chamber of Commerce in Poland, the partnership of the CoVE European Training Center 3LoE marked a crucial moment to reflect on the achievements made so far and outline future priorities. The Erasmus 3LoE project, born in 2020, identified centers of excellence for green skills training in seven European countries, including Germany, Italy, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Austria, and Spain.
During the meeting in Szczecin, the 22 project partners shared the results and strategies implemented in the first three years, focusing on integrating the work plans of key stakeholders such as chambers of commerce, employer representatives, educational institutions, and research centers. The common goal is to promote the growth and competitiveness of businesses and SMEs.
In Italy, specifically, SFC Sistemi Formativi Confindustria played a leading role in the COVE 3LoE initiative, concentrating efforts mainly on businesses. Various initiatives were implemented to enhance sustainability skills in production systems, including innovative courses such as "Introduction to the Green Economy for Businesses" and "Lean Management in the Construction Sector."
SFC also successfully experimented with orientation paths for green skills for students aged 18-22, collaborating with ECOLE and CIS. Among the European initiatives curated by the partnership, SFC successfully implemented the training program for corporate trainers proposed by the Chamber of Commerce of Latvia. In collaboration with the ITS Mechatronics Foundation of Lazio, the TURN2COACH program was developed, focusing on the development of skills for Corporate Trainers.
The upcoming year of the 3LoE project will be dedicated to "applied research in companies," carried out by SFC in collaboration with the Sant'Anna School in Pisa and involving students from the GECA Master's program. Fifteen applied research projects will be tested in as many companies, with results expected to be shared at the project's final meeting in September 2024 at the Riga Chamber of Commerce.
In conclusion, the experience of participating in COVE 3LoE continues to be a catalyst for experiences, skills, and best practices, strengthening a community of mutual learning among different actors in the educational ecosystem. The focus remains on the systematic development of skills enabling the green transition, with the goal of contributing to the sustainable growth of European businesses.
