On December 22nd, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy approved the ranking of implementing entities for the new Digital Innovation Hubs under the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan).
The proposal presented by Confindustria through Sistemi Formativi Confindustria and the National Network of Digital Innovation Hubs ranked first.
The project named "ConfIN Hub – Confindustria Innovation Hub" represents a significant step towards completing the national innovation ecosystem, establishing one of the 6 new "national digital innovation hubs" aimed at disseminating innovative technologies in the industry, especially in SMEs.
The Confindustria Innovation Hub will offer companies services for assessing digital maturity and guiding innovation, using analysis tools developed with prominent actors from academia and industry, including the Industry 4.0 Test, developed in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano, and the Cyberassessment Test, developed with the Cyber 4.0 and Start 4.0 Competence Centers and the Piemonte Innova Foundation.
The operational structure, following a "Hub & Spoke" logic, has SFC as the national implementing entity (Hub) and the 17 Confindustria DIHs (Digital Innovation Hubs) as service providers to companies on the territory (Spoke).
Companies can turn to the 17 Confindustria DIHs to request three types of services:
- A modular service for First Digital Assessment and Guidance, which can include both modules (First assessment + Guidance) or just one, depending on the company's needs.
- Cybersecurity assessment.
- Digital value chain assessment.
It is expected that over 1,000 companies will benefit from these services nationwide by November 2025.
The ConfIN Hub project builds on significant initiatives developed in recent years by the Confindustria System, starting with the creation of the Digital Innovation Hub network in 2017 and their operation, followed by the provision of over 2,000 assessments of digital maturity to as many companies in the last 4 years.
The goal of the ConfIN Hub Digital Innovation Pole is to involve a large number of companies nationwide to increase the digital maturity of the industrial sector. This project represents a significant step towards promoting innovation and digitalization of Italian companies, contributing to the growth and competitiveness of the entire national production system.
