The TYEC Project aims to identify the most effective policies for promoting youth employment in the EU.

Specifically, the TYEC Project seeks to:

1. Develop measures and initiatives to address and correct the changes that have occurred in the youth labor market in Europe.
2. Analyze the segmentation and diversity of labor markets in the countries where project actions are taking place, with particular attention to youth employment.
3. Map and study existing EU policies in support of youth employment.
4. Monitor, evaluate, and prepare reports on policies that provide insights for future action planning (with a particular focus on the analysis of two successful policy models against youth unemployment in recent years: the Danish flexicurity model and the apprenticeship model experimented in Germany).
5. Address the mismatch between available job positions and the skills of young people, which is a significant barrier to accessing job opportunities.
6. Improve the links between education, training, and the world of work through social dialogue, promoting the standardization of qualifications required in the labor market.
7. Strengthen the technical and vocational education and training (TVET) field, including systems like apprenticeships.
8. Promote youth entrepreneurship with the goal of encouraging the growth of sustainable businesses.

Planned Activities and Products:

• Organization of a series of meetings, seminars, workshops, conferences in each partner country for the exchange of experiences among partners to inspire and prepare specific and concrete actions in support of youth employment.
• Preparation of a final report containing data, strategies, and suggestions developed through comparative analysis of various national contexts, covering the following thematic areas: employment trends, skills mismatch and school-to-work transition, interventions that provide work experience and combine learning and work systems, the effectiveness of existing programs and policies for youth employment; description of additional mechanisms and strategies to disseminate best practices on youth employment interventions that facilitate mutual learning and cooperation among various EU countries.
